TINY JAMS for HIP HOPE COMMUNITY
Charity Fundraiser
In the spirit of solidarity, YUVACHUN is partnering with the Hip Hope Community movement, initiated by Davy UNG, to support the Khmer school Tiny Toones, founded by Tuy “Kay Kay” Sobil, as well as the Rombak Battle, organized by Vibol LIM.
Two causes, one mission
All funds raised will be dedicated to securing the future of two pillars of urban culture in Cambodia: The construction of the Tiny Toones NGO’s new center in Phnom Penh: A vital space for the education and social integration of children from underprivileged neighborhoods. The organization and promotion of the RomBak Battle: To enable the association to sustain this must-attend event for young people.
Tiny Toones
For over twenty years, they have been supporting children from underprivileged neighborhoods in Phnom Penh through education, language instruction, computer skills, and hip-hop culture, where children benefit from breakdancing classes.
Rombak Battle
Led by Vibol Lim for over thirteen years—it shapes the Cambodian breaking scene and offers young dancers visibility, a platform for self-expression, and connections to the international scene.
Hip Hope Community
A project launched by the association Le Grand Crew, founded by Davy Jones, a DJ and dancer originally from Bordeaux—a city with a historically strong and socially engaged hip-hop scene, the natural birthplace of this project. Through Hip Hope Community, the French hip-hop community supports two Cambodian public-interest projects, creating memories and supporting Khmers abroad.
YUVACHUN
It is a global network bringing together young people, students, and enthusiasts of Khmer culture from around the world. Its mission is to build bridges, create memories, and support Khmers abroad.
100% of the funds raised will be donated to the HIP HOP COMMUNITY fundraiser, which will in turn donate 100% of the funds to Tiny Toones (60%) and Rombak Battle (40%).
Our goal with this fundraiser: To bring together the French Khmer community and support Khmer hip-hop culture and Cambodian youth.
